Larson Family Winery 2021 Limerick Contest
Larson Family Winery kicks off its St. Patrick’s Day tradition on February 10th, 2021 with the 14th Annual “Get Lucky at Larson” Limerick Contest. Get your creative thinking cap on and submit your entry. Kids, teens and adults from all across the country can all participate. The limericks will be judged by a group of talented wine and grape lovers.
The contest begins February 10th and entries must be received by March 5th, 2021 to qualify. All of the winning entries will be displayed at Larson Family Winery in Sonoma March 13th – 21st as part of the winery’s St. Patrick’s Day weekend celebration. There are two age categories for the contest: 20 years and younger and 21 and over.
This whimsical contest produces many creative and hilarious entries… and the prizes are as alluring as the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! One winner will be selected for each age category.

What is a Limerick?

Noun
A kind of humorous verse of five lines, in which the first, second, and fifth lines rhyme with each other, and the third and fourth lines, which are shorter, form a rhymed couplet.
Rules:
1) Your entry must be an original limerick. All entries must be new, previously unpublished (in print or the internet).
3) Your limerick must pertain to Larson Family Winery, wine, grapes, Sonoma or winemaking. It may be funny, but does not have to be.
4) One entry per person.
5) It must be G-rated, (no sex, drug promotion, profanity, graphic violence or other inappropriate [in our view] content).
6) There will be 1 winner in each age category: 20 years of age and under and over 21. The winner of each age category, will receive a $150 Larson Family Winery gift certificate to spend in our Tasting Room or to use for an online purchase.

8) PLEASE INCLUDE: Name, Age, Address, Email Address and Phone Number when submitting entries by mail or email. Entries WITHOUT this information may be excluded. Age categories are:
10) Winners will be announced Friday March 12th, 2021 and notified by Larson Family Winery.
11) You agree to allow your entry (winner or not) to be used by Larson Family Winery without payment of any royalty.
12) If a winning entry is found to have been previously posted or published, any prize awarded will be revoked and another winner will be declared. After 30 days, no changes to the winners list will be made and reasonable effort will be made to assure the winning limericks are original.
13) Your entry to the contest indicates your agreement that all decisions made by the judges are FINAL.
14) Employees of Larson Family Winery and Ultima Mobile Bottling and their immediate families are not eligible to enter this contest.
