Limerick Contest; February 1st-March 1st

Larson Family Winery kicks off its St. Patrick's celebration February 1, 2012 with the 4th Annual "Get Lucky at Larson" Limerick Contest. Get your creative thinking cap on and submit your entry. Kids, teens and adults from all across the country can all participate. The limericks will be judged by a group of talented professionals, including: Jody Purdom, editor, Sonoma Valley Sun; Kathleen Hill, Food and Wine Editor, Sonoma Index-Tribune and columnist, SONOMA Magazine; and Ken Brown, Sonoma Morning Radio Show Host, KSVY/FM.

The contest begins February 1st and entries must be received by March 1, 2012 to qualify. There are three categories of age groups: Children (12 and under), Teens and young adults (13-20), and Adults (21 and over). All of the winning entries will be displayed at Larson Family Winery in Sonoma March 17 -18 as part of the winery's St. Patrick's Day weekend celebration.

There once was a wine from Sonoma
That had quite a fine aroma
When friends took a sip
And the wine passed their lip
They said, "I must take some home to Tacoma!"
